Gearing up for a busy fall!

Welcome to fall (not really with these temperatures!!) and the upcoming months of focus on the issues we hold near and dear. As you all know, September is National Preparedness Month, October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month, and November is National Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience Month (NCISRM). Our Board of Directors is busy developing exciting programs and amplifying campaigns for these months and we look forward to your engagement.

We are extremely proud to share with all of you that our FBI Coordinators, Amylynn Errera and Kara Sidener, have been recognized as the southeast region's (the region to which InfraGardNCR belongs!) InfraGard Coordinators of the year. It comes as no surprise to any of us and is extremely well deserved! The Board of Directors nominated them, specifically for their work with the Cyber Health Working Group and general advancement of InfraGard. They will be recognized at this year's annual meeting and, as regional winners, considered for the national level award. Please take a moment to share with them HUGE congratulations for this honor!

We also have been fortunate to find a new Chief Financial Officer, Boykin Jordan. Boykin, too, has been a member of InfraGardNCR for some time and brings with him a wealth (pun intended!) of experience as a volunteer treasurer and board member for several non-profits. After a successful 26-year career with the US Air Force, Boykin became the President of Dyoptics, a database development and data visualization company. He later founded Cyber Smart Pros, at IT professional services and cyber security consulting firm, and is currently their CEO and President. You can read his full bio on our website here. I believe the chapter's fiscal health with continue to improve and grow under Boykin's stewardship and guidance.

Lastly, we will be launching the election period to fill the vacancies on the chapter's Board of Directors. We had several qualified candidates step forward to volunteer and serve so we'll be holding elections beginning this Friday, September 7th. Watch for a separate email to be sent out with voting instructions and candidate information.

Get ready for an exciting couple of months!
