The Best of InfraGardNCR 2017 Thanks to YOU!
It has been an amazing year! As 2017 comes to a close, I want to share with you some of the accomplishments of our chapter in 2017.
We've seen continued chapter growth as individuals recognize the value InfraGardNCR brings to their companies and organizations. We've recruited new, effective leaders to serve on the chapter's Board of Directors and in Sector Chief and Special Interest Group (SIG) Chair roles. We've been recognized for our outstanding work in creating and executing a national campaign around DHS's National Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience Month (NCISRM) winning INMA's National Public-Private Partnership Award. We've effected tangible, behavioral change in how healthcare networks are protected and strengthened through the Cyber Health Working Group. We've continued our commitment to our next generation of cyber and STEM leaders through our expanded #CyberCamp and field trips to FBI desitnations. We've contributed valuable information and intelligence to the FBI and other stakeholders which has further enhanced our value as a strategic partner in the protection of critical infrastructure. Together with InfraGard Maryland we even won third place at the WHS BBQ Cook-Off!
We've proven that we're an incredible team. For all of this, and for everything each and every one of you do every day to anticipate threats, respond to challenges, and make our nation safer, I personally thank you.
We must continue to grow our efforts in 2018 and I challenge you to be more committed to InfraGardNCR's mission. If you are looking for ways to be more engaged, contact your sector chief; join one of our SIGs; or volunteer to participate in November 2018's NCISRM efforts (planning is already underway!). We need to contribute to the conversations around cybersecurity, IoT, the convergence of physical and IT needs, and bring awareness to and action toward solutions to the challenges we face.
Lastly, I want to remind all of you to maintain your vigilance in your companies and communities during the holiday season. Whatever you are celebrating this holiday season, I hope you do so surrounded by friends and family.
Wishing you peace,
