It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter today - as you all know our nation has been struck by another horrific mass shooting, this time in Las Vegas, Nevada. Our hearts and actions go out to the victims, the wounded, the first responders, and law enforcement who were, and are, at this scene trying to make sense of what has happened.
In this spirit I just want to take this month's letter to thank you. To all our physical security specialists out there - thank you for hammering away at making your company or agency more secure. While we all spend tremendous time, energy, and money on cyber, we all must remember that the deadliest attacks came on your turf. Thank you for what you do to help your people stay safe.
To our cyber security warriors, thank YOU for preventing, mitigating, and responding to the increasingly clever and rapacious attacks from across the globe.
And to all of those who volunteer and support InfraGardNCR, or any other organization fighting this good fight, thank you for your time, energy, and spirit.
As many of you know, InfraGardNCR partnered with a number of groups to raise money for the Houston Police Department after the hurricane - we raised $3000 and sent them the items they requested. It is through your generosity of spirit that we were able to help.
We are now faced with another tragedy, one among many in recent weeks. So in my gratitude and thanks I simply want to say "keep doing what you are doing" and take a moment to realize the important role you have in securing our nation's people and assets. Your work matters tremendously.
As always I continue to invite you to join us to build our community, continue to educate our members and our youth, and contribute to our safety and security wherever possible.
