This Thanksgiving, I was particularly thankful for our amazing November with our efforts around National Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience Month! I appreciate the support and engagement of you, as well as support from our sister InfraGard chapters across the country. It was a great showing of how, despite our own geographic differences and challenges, we are all vulnerable to sector independencies and that there is much work to be done to continue to make our nation's infrastructure more resilient.
On November 30th I was able to travel to the InfraGard Delaware chapter to speak at their NCISRM event with the U.S. Counterintelligence Executive Bill Evanina. It is so encouraging to see so many InfraGard members interested in working with us to forward this critical mission. Big thanks to them for raising awareness and signing on as a partner to NCISRM.
Our Annual Member Meeting is on January 10, 2017 at Lockheed Martin in Crystal City where we'll share our vision for the chapter, get your feedback on planned initiatives, and ask for your input for 2017. As always, there will be continued opportunities for you to be involved. FBI Special Agent in Charge Jerry Roberts will be with us to speak on terrorism and intelligence in the NCR as well. Registration and agenda details coming soon!
One final plea - get off the InfraGardNCR "naughty list" (i.e., you've been emailed by our coordinators that you haven't logged into the portal in a while), and please log in to the InfraGard portal to maintain your membership. If you need assistance logging in, please contact the InfraGard Help Desk at 877-861-6298. They are available 24/7, so no excuses for not calling!
I wish you all a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season and look forward to continuing serving with you in InfraGardNCR in the coming year.
P.S. You didn't think you'd get away without an ask for your engagement!! We need 4 people to help us put our annual report together -- if you have some free time or if you enjoy editing, please reach out. We need some help over the next 4 weeks to have it ready for the Annual Meeting!
